Taking the time for small things, like choosing a vinyl record, flip it again and again. That's a way to disconnect from the digital world, and be in the now, paying attention to the notes from all instruments listened with the vintage 70's speakers.
We have a large selection, of artists we love from the Doors, Air, Warren G to Johnny Cash.

The Cats Life

Forever prepared to inspect your artwork and potentially grant their approval. Chanel, portrayed in this image, is one of the cats that came into existence during my time in Bansko. Since then, she has transformed into a regal figure, resembling a Duchess, consistently seeking attention and expressing herself with great eloquence. She delights in the company of humans, and her luxurious coat adds an extra touch of uniqueness to her charm.

Transforming the simple act of gliding a pen across paper into a delightful game that captures your feline friend's attention can be a heartwarming experience, inducing smiles and fostering a special connection in the present moment. Embrace this opportunity to make the ordinary extraordinary. In the accompanying image, witness the charming duo of Tiger, the mischief-maker, and Mr. Cuddle, the undeniable source of amusement. Despite his attempts to assert dominance, Mr. Cuddle always manages to exude an air of uniqueness, revealing a delightful blend of bossiness and affectionate warmth. Seize this moment, appreciate its specialness, and revel in the joy it brings.

Hello, I'm Sara, and I'm here to guide your experience at La Fée Bleue, the house I've cherished in my dreams for as long as I can remember. My tale revolves around Bulgaria, Cats, and Art, which helped me recover from a divorce and manage my struggle with endometriosis.Throughout my life, I've sought a tranquil refuge to find equilibrium, while wrestling with an overloaded schedule and enduring multiple burnouts. My feline fascination dates back to my childhood, when I wielded a disposable camera, roamed my grandpa's garden, and forged connections with the furry companions who brought me solace, patience, and unwavering love. Rain or shine, these cats persist in teaching me how to be a better human and savor the present moment. In late 2019, my journey led me to Bulgaria, where I encountered Litchi, a kitten abandoned on the streets of Bansko, and thus began my journey into becoming a cat enthusiast. Later, three of my cats entered my life when a friend discovered them in a box during a rainy day. Originally intended for a weekend visit and a quest for adoption, the mission proved nearly impossible. Eventually, I made the decision to keep them, and if you meet me, I'll be delighted to share more cat tales about the likes of Karamel, Drisloo, Chanel, Mard, Tiger, White Snow, Couscous, Yoda, and many more.Amidst these serendipitous encounters arranged by the universe, I ventured into abstract art, blending acrylics, wood, and collages. I held onto the dream of owning a mountain house to provide my cats with a fulfilling life. However, I was unsure of where to begin and how this dream would manifest.During this time, I was single and attempted to be a unicorn startup founder. After facing a setback, I decided to launch a new marketing agency in Sofia. Following four years of singlehood, my friends believed I had no chance of finding a life partner who would embrace my cats and commit to me, considering my independence and my unconventional entrepreneurial lifestyle.Recognizing the therapeutic benefits of physical labor, the wonders of nature, and the power of art in igniting our imaginations, I proposed to Robert that we open our home to those seeking respite, peace, and the opportunity to engage in art, play with cats, savor healthy meals, explore the mountains, meditate, and relish village life. We are now nearing the completion of our renovation and are eagerly preparing to welcome you for weekend getaways or week-long retreats.

At La Fée Bleue, you have the freedom to paint with your canvas adorning the walls, outdoors in the garden, on the petite terrace, and even in our coworking space. We can cater to all your needs to ensure you feel inspired and well-supported throughout your creative endeavors. Beyond painting, you can also craft objects using Paris Plaster and Cement. Whether you prefer drawing while lounging on the sofa, engaging in collage work, or immersing yourself in music simultaneously, this house is designed to be your artistic haven.

What to expect?

This is what life has taught me!Welcoming people, ensuring their comfort to the point where they feel as cozy as they would at their grandmother's house. If you have an affection for soups, fresh eggs from our lovely hens, Indian-inspired meals, enjoy the idea of cooking together, and are fond of cats, you'll discover everything you've been looking for at La Fée Bleue. Robert is passionate about his home cinema system, vintage speakers, vinyl records, crystals, essential oils, and an impressive collection of over 100 books for you to dive into with a cat curled up in your lap, ensuring you never feel cold. That's why we've carefully arranged the living room, with warmth and comfort in mind. The garden, too, offers a peaceful escape, allowing you to reach out and touch the trees, capture charming moments with our feline friends, and practice yoga. If you're into playing the handpan, flutes, or the guitar, you'll relish your time in the cozy coworking space or on the balcony, surrounded by the beauty of nature.Regarding art, I extend an invitation to explore your artistic side. Choose your preferred materials, and I'll be there to help you unlock your creative potential, all while being assisted by our friendly cats. As for me, I've always believed that a bit of chaos can be an opportunity to reevaluate our approach to life and find beauty in the midst of disorder—a concept known as Wabi-Sabi.Wabi-Sabi: The Japanese Art of Finding Beauty in Imperfections. Rather than dwelling on flaws, cracks, and other imperfections, the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi encourages us to appreciate the fact that nothing is truly perfect or permanent. At La Fée Bleue, creativity is cherished. Our surroundings include fields and mountain vistas, offering you the chance to rest in a queen-sized bed in a generously lit, spacious bedroom. Our neighbors consist of local residents and young Bulgarians who've traded city life for the tranquility of our village, bringing with them a blend of British and Italian influences.Within a 5-minute stroll from the village, you'll find a grocery store, a coffee machine, and the famous Pink House.

About Cats and Life

Let me introduce the cats

Chanel, the elegant grey and white feline, the matriarch of our kittens, crossed my path in Bansko. She's a true lady who revels in the limelight and adores accompanying me on my strolls to the heart of the village. Then there's Drisloo, also hailing from Bansko, a gentle soul who relishes cuddles. Drisloo exhibits a touch of shyness and perhaps a hint of introversion.Mars, a svelte and petite grey and white cat, reigns as the dominant one in our little clan, fiercely protective of her domain.
In addition to Chanel, Drisloo, and Mars, we also share our home with Tiger, Holy, Yoda, Milo, Dali, Max, and Dora. If you fancy a challenge, try your hand at recognizing and recalling the names of these fine felines. Rest assured, you won't need Netflix to savor a delightful evening with these charming companions.Yoda, Milo, Dali, Max, Dora
So if you want test your practice to recognize the cats, counting them and remember their name, I can tell you don't need Netflix to enjoy a nice vening.

The Cats Philosophy

We're so oblivious, we might as well be cats. Mandatory naps? Absolutely. Playing is our version of hitting the books. Home is where the comfy spot is. Perfection? Purr-lease, we're masters of imperfection. Siblings are our partners in crime, not just family. The real art? Letting go of that hairball of stress for a happy life. Humans, well, they blame us for their messy houses, but we choose them anyway. And guess what? We're not just pets; we're born healers. Meow-sage therapy, anyone?

Chanel

Cats are known for their unique ability to purr, and this behavior offers several benefits, both for the cat itself and for their human companions. Here are some of the benefits of a cat's purring:Stress relief: Purring is often associated with contentment and relaxation in cats. When a cat purrs, it can have a calming and soothing effect on both the cat and its human caretaker. The rhythmic sound and vibration of a cat's purring can reduce stress and anxiety in humans.Healing properties: Some studies suggest that the frequency of a cat's purring (around 25-150 Hertz) may have therapeutic effects on the cat's body. It is believed to promote the healing of bones and tissues, reduce pain and inflammation, and aid in the recovery from injuries or illnesses.Bonding and social interaction: Cats often purr when they are in the presence of their owners or other cats. Purring can serve as a form of communication and social bonding, helping to strengthen the relationship between a cat and its human companion.Self-soothing: Cats may purr to comfort themselves during times of distress or discomfort. This can include situations like illness, injury, or even the stress of a visit to the veterinarian.Request for attention: Cats may purr to get their owner's attention or to signal that they want to be petted, cuddled, or fed. It's a way for them to communicate their needs and desires.Lulling to sleep: The soothing sound of a cat's purring can be a sleep-inducing mechanism for both the cat and its owner. Many people find it comforting to fall asleep to the gentle purring of their feline companions.Mother-kitten bonding: Mother cats purr when nursing their kittens, which helps create a strong bond between them. Kittens, in turn, purr to communicate their contentment to their mother.
